“grown-up" and "independent” university student tries to be a cool kid

Hi there! Thanks for checking out my website.

My name’s Sneha and I’m an undergraduate student of Computer Engineering (Co-op) at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario (Canada). I'm currently on my second co-op term with Ceridian Canada Ltd. as a Technical Content Developer, and will be entering my third year of studies in May 2024.

My interest in Computer Engineering, specifically programming, began in 2021 and I have many personal programming projects spanning early 2021 to mid-2022, motivated largely by my childhood experiences, such as a new interpretation from scratch of Pac-Man, a couple of other (semi) original games designed from scratch, and this website by itself. The details of the personal projects that I worked on are available, for each individual project, on the “Coding and Electronics Projects" pages of this website, which you can access using the navigation bar to the left.

Since then, I have branched out to other interests within my program. I find it fascinating how multiple small "stupid" pieces can come together to create an "intelligent" system, be it in humans or in computers or virtually any machine or society. As such, I am currently more interested in low-level electronics and artificial intelligence. I am also interested in and curious about the human brain and human-computer interaction, and have started studying these topics on my own and seeking volunteer positions at research groups that examine related subtopics.

Some other activities that I’m interested in include writing, photography, making music and (sometimes questionable) art. As of mid-to-late 2023, I have developed a new interest for performance, specifically comedy and magic (although as of now, I don't have much to show for it).
My writing mostly consists of fiction short stories, and I have produced background music for videos as well as independent music. All of my work can be accessed through the respective links in the navigation bar.

If you’d like to get in touch with me, click on the “Contact Me” link in the navigation bar. This will lead you to a contact form which you can fill out to get in touch with me directly. I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
